The best viral moments of the AW21 fashion week shows Leave a comment

10. Coperni hosted a drive-in runway spectacle

Tech-savvy Coperni co-founders Arnaud Vaillant and Sébastien Meyer transformed Paris’s Accor Arena into a space where guests could enjoy the perks of an IRL fashion show from the comfort and safety of their own cars.

11. Instead of the Grand Palais, Chanel’s latest film was shot in a nightclub

The megabrand surprised fashion fans by presenting its collection via a pre-recorded show filmed at legendary Parisian party venue Castel. Captured by Dutch fashion photographer duo Inez & Vinoodh, the featurette had us longing for a chic tweed-and-bouclé-clad night out on the town, as modelled by Jill Kortleve, Mica Argañaraz and Rianne Van Rompaey.

12. The hills were alive as Miu Miu wowed with an alpine runway

Mrs Prada made history and took us 9,000 ft above sea level at the Cortina d’Ampezzo slopes in Italy, a magnificent sight almost too perfect for Instagram. The clothes? Well, let’s just say they were weather appropriate and, without a doubt, unapologetically Miu Miu.

13. Louis Vuitton topped the season off with an historically referential display at the Louvre

As always, Nicolas Ghesquière closed Paris Fashion Week with a cinematic spectacle for the French powerhouse. A continuation of his retro-futuristic manifesto, the collection was an ode to mythology, this time a collaboration with Italian design atelier Fornasetti.
