“I say this every time we speak, but you really do look amazing, the best you’ve ever looked. I love your hair colour!” she said.

“I tell you, I’m so happy I let it go grey,” the 83-year-old actress told DeGeneres, saying she was sick of colouring it. “Enough already with so much time wasted, so much money spent, so many chemicals. I’m through with that.”

Fonda also claimed, however, that she only started to see the grey hair one year ago at the age of 83, meaning that she’s retained her natural blonde colour for decades.

DeGeneres also touched on the fact that Fonda received her second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine that is circulating the United States, and asked how she was feeling following the vaccination.

“I’m feeling OK, I worked out yesterday, I’m lucky, I didn’t have any reaction to it,” Fonda said nonchalantly.

“It certainly doesn’t hurt, I encourage everybody to get it who can get it, as soon as possible. But I still wear masks, and I’m still doing social distancing,” she clarified.

“Things don’t go back to normal just because you have the vaccine, you can still spread it or pick it up.”

Later on in the conversation, the fitness mogul and climate activist discussed what she plans to wear for the Golden Globes, which are taking place this weekend (Monday in Australia), where she’ll receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award.

Fonda said she had found an old outfit of hers in the closet after swearing off buying new clothes for the sake of “consumerism”.

“Well, I prefer this kind of outfit than getting dressed up,” Fonda said pointing towards her sweatpants and jumper.

“I vowed a couple of years ago I would never buy any new clothes again. We spend too much money, we buy too many things, and then we get rid of them. We try to develop our identity by shopping, right? We gotta stop that. Stop all this consumerism,” she said as the studio audience applauded her worthy effort.

“So I had to go through my closet and find out something that still fit me and I have worn before, and I found something. I’m all set.”
