Primark shares picture of oversized shirt dress and fans all go mad for 1 thing Leave a comment

A new Primark dress has caused quite a stir among shoppers on social media.

The dress, featured in an Instagram post, is an oversized sweater style dress with splits at the seams that end just below the knee.

In the post’s caption, Primark wrote: “Oversized sweatshirt dress is as dressy as it’s gonna get this Sunday.”

While some took to the comments to show their appreciation for the garment, other shoppers were mesmerised by the item’s sky-blue colour.

One user wrote: “That colour is fab I’m seeing it everywhere.”

Another shopper commented: “The colour is everything.”

Other shoppers, however, weren’t as impressed.

One follower even suggested that the item looked like something you’d find in a hospital.

“Looks like scrubs,” the user quipped.

Other fans lamented the fact they couldn’t purchase the item due to lockdown restrictions, with one user commenting: “Driving me mad, I can’t buy anything.”

With no online store, Primark shoppers haven’t been able to buy new items during the coronavirus lockdowns.

Some shoppers commented to ask if the item would still be in stock when restrictions are lifted.

More than 300 of Primark’s 389 global stores are shut, including all 190 of the retailer’s UK locations.

But the fast fashion chain, which in 2019 generated a revenue of £7.79bn, has said the cost of going online would require price increases, and would therefore continue selling clothes in a physical capacity only.
